Jakobson's Name[]
The way Jacobson's name is spelled throughout the script is incorrect - the game (according to my English version) spells it "Jakobson," with a 'k' instead of a 'c'. Is this true for other versions as well, or is it just mine? I didn't want to go through all the trouble of changing it only to find out in most games it's spelled Jacobson.

- Well the problem is that because of big debate combined with all those unoptimized scripts among the internet, it's rather difficult to decide if it's either with a 'k' or 'c' because both are correct depending from where some people hail from... I would say to take the in-game name, but since most scripts have it with a 'c' I'll keep it this way. Changing it through the entire script is no problem but I do not feel the need/urge/reason to do it... Though indeed, in my version of Dear Esther it's spelled 'Jakobson' --JorisCeoen 09:11, May 7, 2012 (UTC)
Audio files[]
Do you think that it will be possible to upload the audio files for all of these monlauges? The voice acting is obviously this games strong point and I wonder if all of the possible audio logs could be uploaded or fond somewhere.
I thought about doing this myself at some point, if needed I could upload them to youtube and then link them through a "Audio player" plugin. I've seen them on other wikis, if there is an actual way to upload the files than that will work too.
Edit: I currently have the sound files on my PC from the mod, but in a couple of weeks I'll have the 2012 editions of the audio. The Hanged Man - Spirit of a grave robber (talk) 11:14, December 5, 2012 (UTC)
- I had an idea on how this could be achieved, if I were to put a reference hyperlink, next to quotes or maybe turn the quotes themselves into hyperlinks. I could link them o a youtube account designed to just upload these audio logs called "DearEstherWiki" or something.
Easter Egg?[]
1) There's a hidden message in D.E.
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=237413656
"In Loving Memory of Jacqueline and Steven".
You can see it if you use noclip.
I think this deserves mention on the wiki, or even its own page.—Preceding unsigned comment added by {} (talk • contribs)
- We are currently adding seperate articles for a lot of items in the game, including biblical references, easter eggs, drawings, meanings etc... even repeated symbolism without any reasoning behind it (such as bottomless paperboats). I will see to add this one as well. -- 16:12, December 21, 2015 (UTC)
